The Magic Circle
Elgar has learned of an old friend of his, Fargrim Redbeard, and that he was looking for him. Fargrim had posted bounty posters of Elgar, to bring him alive, and the bounty was 500 gold pieces. The guards said that the bounty wasn’t legal and that he would have no problems from them, but there would be a lot of people after him now.
Turns out that Fargrim just wanted to meet Elgar, as he still considers him a friend, one of the few he still has. Even though he considers Elgar’s attack in the back long ago a cheap shot, he understands why he did it and holds no grudge.
They fought, and Fargrim came out victorious, and later offered a ride to Ankhapur, which they agreed upon. Fargrim told Elgar that his adventurous spirit hasn’t died either, and that he has planned a trip to the south, beyond the mapped and explored world, to see what no man has seen in centuries before him. They haven’t met since then, did he really go beyond the map, is he still alive? No man has gone beyond the reaches of the world and come back, so nobody knows what’s there…
